Splatoon 2 may not do too much to differ itself from Splatoon 1 but the new things are addicting and fun. Yes Turf War is alright as always and ranked is good old frustrating fun but the real fun is in Salmon Run. It’s an event based game which is kind of maddening but it happens pretty much for nearly a whole day every 2 days as of now. The specials are back and their fairer. The story mode is like the first one with minor improvements. I wouldn’t call the story amazing but it’s pleasant. Yes they may not have added much BUT everything they added was great!
